National Quality Forum Seeking Nominations for Board of Directors

The National Quality Forum (NQF) announces a call for nominations to join its Board of Directors. There are currently three vacancies and new Board members will begin their terms in January 2019. Two of the three vacancies must be filled with a purchaser or consumer stakeholder pursuant to NQF's By-Laws.

NQF is the nation's leading resource for health care quality measurement and improvement. The Board of Directors is comprised of representatives of NQF member organizations and provides strategic direction, oversees financial management, and actively engages with NQF's membership. NQF is seeking Board members who: (1) are a purchaser or consumer stakeholder; (2) are recognized leaders in his/her discipline; (3) have demonstrated financial and business development expertise, experience, and an interest in health care quality measurement, improvement, and management; and (4) are willing to commit time and energy to Board service.

Individuals elected to the Board of Directors are expected to identify, promote, and cultivate relationships to support NQF's mission, membership, funding, and business development and strategic partnership efforts.

The NQF Board of Directors currently meets three times a year, with additional work conducted by conference call and via email, as necessary. Travel for meetings is reimbursed, but no other compensation is offered. Board Members are limited to two consecutive three-year terms and sit as individuals, not as representatives of their employers or any group that may have nominated them for service.
