The 2019 National Leadership Conference, hosted by ElevatingHOME and VNAA, convenes home-based care’s top thought leaders, industry experts, and legislators from across the country, March 18-19, 2019 in Washington, DC.

NLC takes a new direction in 2019 as an intimate gathering of home-based care executives, focusing the discussion on the top priorities of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) as recently outlined by Secretary Alex Azar. HHS is prioritizing a shift to a true value-based health care system in the new year via four avenues identified by Secretary Azar:
  • Transforming patients into empowered consumers
  • Making providers into accountable navigators of the health system
  • Shifting the payment focus to outcomes rather than process
  • Preventing disease before it occurs or progresses
Home-based care executives attending NLC 2019 will take from the meeting real, actionable business plan options centering on these four avenues for driving toward value. In addition, attendees will have meaningful networking opportunities, sharing innovative ideas with familiar faces and new connections alike.
