Last week, we told you about an exciting step forward for our organization: we have entered into an agreement with the intent to affiliate with LeadingAge. This is a strategic opportunity for both organizations to increase our impact and influence across the continuum of services and supports for people as they age. Our organizations have shared visions, similar missions, and a deep commitment to service.
For members of VNAA and ElevatingHOME, the connection to LeadingAge, its 38 state partners and 5,400 provider members, means joining with an organization with a longstanding commitment to supporting providers along the full continuum of care. Alignment enables us to bring our collective work to a much broader network of service providers and individuals, helping them age at home and reduce hospitalizations.
It also continues our commitment to achieving what ElevatingHOME was created to do--to broaden the conversation around home health and hospice and to unify efforts, inclusive of the depth and breadth of organizations serving people in their homes--with the intent of keeping them in their homes, wherever that may be. Over the next several months, our 3 organizations will move forward in the process of achieving strategic and operational alignment as we become part of LeadingAge pending a member vote as required by our bylaws.
Take note that effective immediately, VNAA and ElevatingHOME members are now LeadingAge members and eligible for LeadingAge 2019 benefits. In the weeks and months to come, you will continue to receive information about the resources that are part of LeadingAge membership as well as specific instructions on how to access them.
We look forward to a successful future together. If questions arise in the course of your exploration about our new affiliation, please reach out to us.
