Update to VNAA and ElevatingHOME Policy Team

It is with appreciation for all her contributions that I announce the resignation of Joy Cameron. I know you share my gratitude for everything she has brought to VNAA and ElevatingHOME.

In her tenure as Vice President of Policy and Innovation at VNAA and ElevatingHOME, Joy maintained a regular presence on Capitol Hill and was a constant “at the table” advocate for home-based care providers and patients with the Administration and policy thought leaders. She provided quality education and engagement opportunities for members through timely analysis of proposed, pending, or newly enacted regulations and legislation. Some of the topics Joy focused on included the Home Health Groupings Model (HHGM)/Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM), advanced illness legislation, palliative care proposals, the latest hospice rules, along with many other policy priorities.  Joy is departing VNAA and ElevatingHOME for a new opportunity with Humana.

I am pleased to announce the return of Neleen Rubin, Rubin Health Policy Consulting, LLC to ElevatingHOME and to welcome Jenna Paladino of the governmental consulting firm, Paladino Public Affairs, LLC.   Neleen Rubin has worked in federal health care policy for more than 20 years, leading her firm since 2013. With a clear focus on helping health care clients navigate the legislative, regulatory and policy development process, Neleen helped guide VNAA over many years.  Before starting her firm in 2014, Jenna Paladino served as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs for Chapters Health System, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, the largest non-profit hospice in Florida. Her experience as a legislative aide, campaign consultant, in-house lobbyist, non-profit lobbyist, and adjunct professor provides her clients a well-rounded approach to make sure that the lobbying, advocacy, and communication goals are all part of the plan. Jenna and Neleen will partner to ensure continuing advocacy and public policy leadership for ElevatingHOME and VNAA.

The Executive Committee of the VNAA and ElevatingHOME Board of Directors are forming a committee dedicated to finding Joy’s successor as the next Vice President, Federal Policy at VNAA and ElevatingHOME. Interested candidates should contact Danielle Pierotti.
