Hospice Productivity Tool
Created exclusively for ElevatingHOME and VNAA members the Hospice Productivity Tool to helps providers understand the impact of the productivity of their agency. If the current productivity is less than the desired, this tool helps the agency quantify that, both in terms of FTEs and in terms of dollar impact. It also shows the agency what the “gap” is between current performance and targeted performance, and provides insight on the two possible responses to address this gap. One response is to grow the agency and fill the gap. The other response is to reduce workforce and maintain current volumes.
The agency will utilize payroll information to fill in the hours and salary information that is requested, and it will utilize their clinical package to fill in the visits/episodic information requested. We created a simple input table that, once populated, will deliver two sets of reports. The first set of reports is an executive summary that views the “bottom line” answer.
